Privacy Policy
This page explains what we collect on getinsuranceplans.us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. We wrote it in plain English on purpose.
Who we are
getinsuranceplans.us is run by ITP 360 LLC ("we", "us"). Plans are offered through licensed health insurance agents. We are not a government website, we are not HealthCare.gov, and we are not an insurance company.

What we collect
When you ask for prices
ZIP code and county, date of birth, sex, whether you use tobacco, household size, and yearly household income. Insurance companies set prices with these, and income sets your ACA tax credit. You do not have to give us your name, phone or email to see prices.
When you pick a plan or ask for help
First and last name, mobile phone number, email address, the plan you picked and its price, and a record of the contact consent you agreed to (the exact wording, the date and time, and your IP address).
When you chat or write to us
The messages you send through the chat on this site, by email or by text, and our replies.
Automatically
Your IP address and browser type, which our server records when you get a quote or send a form. We use them to stop abuse and to keep a record of your consent.
Why we use it
- To show you plan prices and explain what a plan would cost you.
- To contact you about the plan you picked or the help you asked for, by phone call, text or email, as you agreed when you sent the form.
- To start your application with the insurance company or enrollment site you chose.
- To keep records that insurance rules and the law require, and to protect the site from abuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies below, and only what each one needs.
- UnitedHealthOne (UnitedHealthcare). To price Health ProtectorGuard plans we send your ZIP code, county, age, sex and tobacco use. If you choose one of these plans and continue to apply online, we also send your name, email and date of birth so the application starts with your details filled in.
- The federal Marketplace (CMS). To price ACA plans we send your ZIP code, county, age, sex, tobacco use, household size and income. We do not send your name or contact details.
- HealthSherpa. If you choose an ACA plan or start an ACA application, we send you to HealthSherpa, an approved enrollment website, to finish. We may pass along your ZIP code, ages, household size and income so you do not have to type them again. What you enter there is covered by HealthSherpa's own privacy policy.
- Companies that run our systems. Hosting, email and phone service providers that store or carry data for us and may not use it for anything else.
- When the law requires it. To answer a valid legal request or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
We do not share your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent with anyone for their own marketing.
Calls and text messages
If you check the consent box, a licensed agent may call or text you about health insurance at the number you gave, including with automated technology or prerecorded messages. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply, and how often we text depends on your request. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or HELP for help. To stop calls or emails, tell the agent or write to hello@getinsuranceplans.us.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics today. If we add them, we will update this page first.
How long we keep it
We keep quotes and contact requests for as long as we need them to help you and to meet record-keeping rules for insurance agents, then we delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see below), unless we have to keep it by law.
Your choices
Email hello@getinsuranceplans.us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is really you first.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is stored on servers with access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us medical records or Social Security numbers through the chat or email.
Children
This site is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
